Klipsch RP-8000F Reference Premiere Speaker Review.

Klipsch RP-8000F Tower Speakers.

Price: $1198.00 Pair.

Overall Rating: ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️¾

Klipsch RP-8000F Speakers are nicely finished speakers with quality components.

Speaker cabinets may improved with more bracing inside of the rather big and 14” deep cabinets, factory attached aluminum footer(s) were fixed and not level adjustable, overall quality is very nice, beautiful to look at it as center piece of your audio system or home theater.

Front of the speakers feature time align design with low frequency drivers and horn loaded tweeter.

Out of the box sound is a bit muffled, sound settle nicely after 40+ hours of usage but bass is still a bit lack of definition until 100+ hours of usage, after 100+ hours everything seems fitted in the place nice and precisely.

I play through many different music, RP-8000F(s) never failed to satisfied my musical enjoyment. I was saying in my mind that this is one of the speaker with high performance sound quality without high price tag, best thing is RP-8000F speakers can and will sound great with pretty much any amplifiers, as for my personal taste I would love to hear these speakers with tube amps, I know it will sound beautiful. Also, watching movies in two channel set up is very satisfying with clear dialogues and effectively reproducing the realistic sound with just two speakers.

Highs are well controlled yet rich, more meat around the notes than previous RP series horn drivers, thoroughly enjoy listening the newly design horn loaded tweeters. It’s very well extended with fully dynamic spacious sound, range and reach is incredibly quick and dynamic without any brightness, the horn loaded tweeter is truly star of the show and most improved over previous generation. Time to rearrange my mind about Klipsch horn loaded tweeters. Truth is, this is the first Klipsch speaker that make me want to own it in my system for overall sound musical sound quality.

Midrange is tonally accurate with good balance, not forward nor recessed. Musical sound with live like vocals and dynamics in the range, male vocals were better than my JBL Studio 590s and female voices are pretty accurate, not in the class leading level of performance but still very nicely reproduce the female voices. For instruments like drums, saxophone, guitars and synthesizer sounds were very dynamic, accurate and natural without noticeable coloration. Good quality midrange is very nice complement to the horn drivers of RP-8000F speakers.

The Bass performance is very good, deep and very authoritative in the lower region but upper bass to lower mid area is a little lack in definition for me, most of people may not notice in their music listening experience. In my opinion instrument separation should be a little better in aforementioned region because given driver size and cabinet volume of the speakers, I’m just pointing it out as a reviewer and being critical otherwise there is no major weakness to take note in across the frequency range, overall very satisfying performance, main strength of the RP-8000F speakers is great sound with any kind of music genre, I did fully enjoy listening to RP-8000F speakers with my favorite music. If I don’t have JBL Studio 590 speakers Klipsch RP-8000F speakers would be my big speakers of choice because it will out perform, out dynamic any speakers in the same price range and can go toe to toe with many speakers from higher price point, If I am looking to buy a pair of $2-3000 floor standing speakers I would get these and save money or get better a amplifier.

Today hifi audio marketplace is crowded with many pretenders without real note worthy performers, most of them not even worth asking price for their performance but not this speakers, RP-8000F is one of the best buy and choice in current offering from many other option out there in the same or above the price range and well worth the price because performance of the speakers were above asking price of the speakers. Do try and audition the speakers if you’re in the market, I would highly recommend them to anyone who’s is looking to get new floor standing speakers.
